Born in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki Furukawa moved to Canada when he was seven and the United States when he was sixteen.
After a brief stay in the U.S., he returned to Japan to pursue a degree in Engineering at the Keio University.
He married a Canadian woman named Hiromi Otake in 2012 and announced in June 2019 that he was expecting his first child.
However, he has yet to reveal the child’s gender or name. Born to a physician, Furukawa has long had a passion for acting.
