Florida redshirt freshman Jalen KitnA arrested Wednesday at Alachua County Jail. He was charged with two counts of distribution child exploitation material as well as three counts of possessing child pornography. This was based on Kitna’s use of Discord, Gainesville Police announced. Kitna (19 years old), is the son 15-year NFL football quarterback Jon Kitna. He will appear in court Thursday. Kitna was suspended indefinitely by the University Athletic Association.

Who is Jalen kitna?

Jalen Kitna, despite his father’s football heritage, is not a traditional athlete. The redshirt freshman at Florida is an advertising student. The Gators recruited him in May 2020. He hasn’t played for the team. He was briefly substituted by Anthony Richardson in a 45-38 defeat to Florida State. Since then, he has been removed indefinitely from team.

Kitna (18) is the son Jon Kitna, an ex-NFL quarterback. He was a member of the Detroit Lions’, Dallas Cowboys’ and Cincinnati Bengals. In 2003, he was the Comeback Player-of-the Year. In 14 seasons, he threw for 30,000 yard and 169 touchdowns. Kitna also donated bout fees for colleges. He enrolled at the University of Florida in the 2021 recruiting class.

Kitna is accused in sharing illegal images online prior to the season’s end. He told police that he believed the images were legal online because he had found them online. He was taken into custody Wednesday and booked in the Alachua County Jail. His bond was set at $80,000. Kitna was not allowed to use the Internet after his arrest.

According to the arrest report the Gainesville Police department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June. They were informed by the Center that Kitna was using a Discord account to distribute child sexual abuse material.

He was found to be the account’s owner after police investigated. Kitna admitted to police that his account was used to send inappropriate images to others. Kitna claimed that the images were his own creations, but police found that he was involved in discussions about child sexual abuse. Kitna was also accused in a Kik group of sharing child pornography.

Jalen Kitna, agitated during a Wednesday court hearing, alternately held his head and clenched his fists. Kitna was wearing a dark green sleeveless dress. Kitna was also wearing a suicide prevention vest.

Five felony charges were brought against the 19-year-old. He could spend up to 45 years behind bars. These charges are third-degree felonies. He will also be fined $35,000

Kitna is accused in two child pornographic images being shared on Discord. The Gainesville Police Department said that one of the images featured a prepubescent girl. Another image showed a woman exposing herself to a man while having sex.

Kitna also stated to police that he was in chat rooms that shared material of this type. Kitna claimed he didn’t request the material, and that he accidentally clicked on an incorrect link.  also had three additional images of child sexual abuse on his phone. These images were found during preliminary analysis. Gainesville Police Department detectives executed a search warrant at Kitna’s house. As part of their investigation, they also took Kitna’s electronic gadgets.

Kitna made her first court appearance by being viewed via closed-circuit video at the county courthouse. Kitna’s parents also attended. He was told not to contact minors and was banned from the internet for three years. Kitna wasn’t a Discord classmate of the girl who uploaded the images. According to police, Kitna’s father had the number for the girl’s cell phone.
