It was in Los Angeles that Nikki and her brother Matthew were raised by their mother, Terry Kay Cox. She was a personal manager and worked for Nikki, and their father was a businessman.
Nikki started taking ballet lessons when she was three. When she was four, she danced in a lot of TV shows and theatre shows. She was ten when she made her TV show debut in the episode “The Sins of the Mother” of “Mama’s Family.”
