Nikolas Robert Diaz, better known by his stage name Nick Diaz, was born on August 2, 1984 in Stockton, California to parents Robert and Melissa Diaz.

Diaz’s father has not been widely documented, as he left when he was still young. Yet even today, Diaz still remembers those darkest days as being the darkest period of his life.

Nick endured a difficult childhood because his mother had to take care of everything – she simply couldn’t manage three kids and her job at once.
