The renowned boxer has received several awards for her contribution to Indian sports.

She is a recipient of the Arjuna Award, Padma Shri, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, and Padma Bhushan, as well as the Pepsi MTV Youth Icon award.

She was recently chosen as the Pepsi MTV Youth Icon in 2008. She was also selected as the Sportswoman of the Year in 2012 by the Indian public.
