Big Meech brother: Demetrius Flenory, alias Big Meech, and his younger brother Terry Flenory, aka Southwest T, ran the empire known as the Black Mafia Family.
Big Meech’s brother Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory?
Before building their drug empire, the brothers grew up on the streets of Detroit, peddling cocaine in high school.
During the late 1980s, Big Meech and his younger brother Terry created the network.
“At its peak during 2003-2004, the BMF was shipping hundreds of kilogrammes of cocaine into Atlanta, Detroit, and other distribution centres every month,” according to the US Department of Justice.
“The drugs would be delivered in vehicles with hidden compartments or ‘traps,’ usually limos.
“The cash would then be transferred back to the Mexican sources of supply in these identical trap cars.”
However, following a split between the brothers in 2001, Terry travelled to Los Angeles to operate his own business.
On what date did Terry Flenory get out of jail?
When the Narcotics Enforcement Agency captured Big Meech and Terry in 2005, their vast drug network came crumbling down.
The two were charged with possessing more than 500 kilogrammes of cocaine with the purpose to distribute, running a criminal enterprise, two counts of intent to distribute more than 5 kilogrammes of cocaine, and a conspiracy charge for the same.
Hundreds of their colleagues were also arrested, resulting in the seizure of millions of cash, multiple homes, and dozens of vehicles.
In 2007, the brothers admitted to maintaining a continued criminal enterprise.
They were each sentenced to 30 years in jail in 2008.
As Covid spread through federal prisons, Terry was released into house arrest in May 2020.
Was Terry Flenory assassinated?
Terry was allegedly shot to death after being released from prison, although this has not been confirmed.
Big Meech, his brother, is still imprisoned at the USP Lompoc in California.
After the United States Sentencing Guidelines made revisions 782 and 788 to review any drug offences that happened before November 2014, he is due for an early release in 2028.
On September 26, 2021, Starz premiered the TV drama Black Mafia Family, or BMF, which was inspired on Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s tale and written and executive produced by Randy Huggins.
Is there going to be a second season of BMF?
After receiving positive feedback from viewers, BMF was revived for a second season.
On November 21, the season finale aired, and fans are eager to find out what happens next.
“The success of ‘BMF’ reflects a sustained surge in fan demand and interest in the narrative of the Flenory Brothers,” said Starz’s president and CEO in a statement.
“With Curtis, Shan, and the teams at G-Unit and Jigsaw, we’re delighted to delve deeper into the universe of Black Mafia Family in this new endeavour.”
A release date for Season 2 has yet to be determined.
