Hugh’s adultery was the reason for Millie and Hugh’s divorce on March 18, 1959; it is also well known that Millie cheated on Hugh while he was in the Army and that she told him about it after he had returned.
After Millie married Edwin Gunn, who adopted her two children, Christie and David once again began using their biological father’s last name, Hefner.
