It was the starting of years of torture.

As a result of the sexual abuse Knight suffers during her time as a prisoner. Michelle reportedly became pregnant five times but miscarried each time after suffering and being beaten by Castro.

Two other young women, Berry and DeJesus, were later abducted by Castro. Knight forces to deliver the child Berry gave birth to at the same time in prison. Castro also provokes Knight that DeJesus and Berry had family members. Desperate to find them while no one was looking for her.

Michelle Knight’s Rescue and Life After

When Castro left his house on May 6, 2013, Berry manages to get to the front door and scream for help, getting the attention of a neighbor. After Berry escapes, she called 911. The authorities, who arrive at the scene, soon rescue Knight and DeJesus. Castro had held Knight for more than ten years.

After her release, brought Knight to the hospital, having been severely beaten by Castro. Michelle left with a loss of vision and nerve damage. Her mother told the press that she hopes to reunite with her daughter.
