After graduating high school, he continued on to Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. Michael’s first job after graduation was an analyst at Deutsche Banc Alex.
However, his success in real estate transactions allowed him to progress and eventually be promoted into a real estate expert position within the company.
Michael then joined The Carlyle Group in 2002 as a Principal, continuing his successful real estate investing practice. Through the years, Michael has completed over 40 transactions for a profit of more than $2 billion for the firm.
Michael has steadily progressed up the corporate ladder through hard work and is now serving as managing director of The Carlyle Group since January 2014.
