He was born on November 10, 1964; paraents Þórveig Hjartardóttir and Eyjólfur Magnússon Scheving. His Paternal Grandfather was Danish. He is an Icelandic Writer, Entrepreneur, Producer, Actor, and Athlete.
Magnus is the Creator, Director, and Star of the children’s Television Show called LazyTown. On which he also portrayed the character Sportacus. Scheving grew up in the small town of Borgarnes in Iceland.
At 15 years, he had his first job as a Telephone Exchange Messenger boy for Borgarnes.
He was trained as a Sports Teacher in his Youth and later decided to learn Architecture. Although intending to be an Architect, he went into carpentry instead. It allows him to build later his own house.
On which he described it as “Physically…laying every brick and roof tile.” In the year of their 20s, he made a bet with a Woodworking friend, Fjölnir Þorgeirsson, that each could master a Sport of the other’s choosing.

He is the CEO, Creator, and Co-Founder of Lazy Town’s Entertainment. His company produces Books, Videos, Games, and Sporting Goods to help promote Fitness and a Healthy lifestyle for children. He is also the creator of the show Lazy Town Latibær in Iceland.
There he plays Sportacus, known as Íþróttaálfurinn in Icelandic, from 1996 to 2014. In 2006, Magnús received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Icelandic’s Edda Award ceremonies for his work as Founder and Creator of the LazyTown franchise.

After Turner Broadcasting bought Lazy Town’s Entertainment in the summer of the year 2011, Magnús announced that he would be leaving the role of Sportacus in the late year 2014. After the end of the Television series, he passed it on to Dýri Kristjánsson.
He played Sportacus in all following live shows. He also announced in the late year 2014 that he would leave his position as CEO of LazyTown’s Entertainment.
Since mid-2016, along with his partner, Hrefna Björk Sverrisdóttir, he has owned and managed ROK restaurant. A Scandinavian or Seafood Restaurant in Reykjavík.
