Family
Kavya Picha’s father is Sundararajan Pichai, the CEO of Google. He was born on June 10th 1972 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu India but raised in Ashok Nagar, Chennai India where he lived in a two-bedroom flat until he was 16.
Sundar completed his senior secondary education from Jawahar Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School in Ashok Nagar, Chennai and Class XII from Vana Vani School at IIT Madras. He went on to earn a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
His father, Regunatha Pichai, was an electrical engineer at GEC, the British conglomerate; and his mother Lakshmi Pichai worked as a stenographer.

Her mother’s name is Anjali Pichai and she was born on January 11th 1971 in Kota, Rajasthan. A chemical engineer by profession, Anjali currently works as the Business Operations Manager at Intuit Inc – an American firm that specializes in financial software.
She attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1989 to 1993 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Her father’s name is Olaram Haryani; there is little information available about her mother.
How her parents met and fell in love
Sundar and Anjali first became friends while students at the Indian Institute of Technology in their first year, though at that time they weren’t officially an item.
As time passed, they spent more and more time together until in their final year when Sundar proposed to her and they began dating. Following graduation, Sundar moved to the United States for further studies while Anjali remained in India; communication became difficult due to high costs of international calls.
After some time, Anjali moved to the US and Sundar was doing well in his career. They decided to tie the knot, with their parents’ blessing and approval. Today they have two kids: Kavya Pichai (a girl) and Kieran (a son).
