Chandrakant was born in Ghosai village in Bihar. His father was an irrigation department employee. As a child, he lived with his mother and siblings. When he reached age 15, he studied up to Class X.
After completing formal education, he moved to Delhi to work as a labourer. His parents were not well off. During the time, his mother had a 12-hour shift at a shoe factory in Narela, Delhi. In fact, she paid little attention to Chandrakant’s studies.
It was in 1986 that Chandrakant and his mother moved to Alipur, Delhi. They had five daughters together. Among these, two were in their early twenties and the other four were between five and fifteen years of age.
Chandrakant Jha had a deep rooted hatred for the system. The man was not ashamed of his crimes, and he showed no signs of remorse.
